How to see image taken from a digital camera on a computer immediately?

by Kindle 3 on December 15, 2009

What type of cable do I use to transfer images/ photos I take on a digital camera immediately to the computer?
I want to view it immediately on a screen, rather than move the card to a reader.
Thanks

It depends upon your camera. Canon DSLRs come with all the right software to shoot tethered. You need a firewire from the camera to the computer to complete the set up.

your camera should have came with a USB cable that you plug into your computer. If you have a memory card slot, take the mem card out and put it in the slot on your computer.

Plug in the USB cable from camera to computer, your computer should "auto-detect" the camera and a small pop-up window will open. Open the folder in the pop-up window and browse your images from there.

You’ll get other options such as save, delete etc from the same window.
