I wouldn’t mind saving and paying the $400 if they gave it a better hard drive, left the extra USB ports and the other trimmings from the first gen PS3. Having one unit that can do everything would be more attractive than rather to have to switch back and forth between consoles.

If you pay attention to PSN, all the older games are being ported over anyway … Nice that they do it, but a lot of people still have their old games. They made PS2 backwards compatible which was the greatest thing since slice bread so stop being a fan boy cuz they know they can easily do it. 1.) Sorry I’m not spoiled and my parents don’t buy me everything like yours. If for example I can get a coffee maker that makes all kinds of coffee why should I limit myself to buying a coffee maker that makes only one type of coffee from the same makers. Listen dumbass, Sony will probably allow backwards compatibility once nobody buys PS2s anymore, and anyway most of the people I know with 60 GB models, don’t even play Ps2 games anymore.

It’s there job as a business to cater to the public they’re selling to. I’d have to find more space just to fit in another console in an already cramped tv stand when they can just build it backwards compatible …
